This is a full-time position focused on general cooking duties, food preparation, and kitchen sanitation. Beyond the kitchen duties, this role also involves key operational tasks like purchasing and implementing new menu ideas to keep the business running efficiently and profitably.

Key Requirements
To be considered for this exciting role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Education: You must have a Matric Certificate (Grade 12).
- Experience: A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking is essential.
- Qualifications: A relevant culinary or food preparation qualification is highly recommended.
- Work Schedule: You must be willing to do shift work, including weekends.
Daily Duties and Responsibilities
As a Cook, your main tasks will include:
- Food Preparation: Preparing and cooking various types of food, including meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and bakery products, strictly following standardized recipes.
- Special Orders: Taking customer orders and preparing food exactly to their specifications.
- Menu Management: Assisting in planning and managing the flow of work orders to ensure all parts of a meal are finished and served at the correct time.
- Stock Control: Notifying the supervisor of needed food and supplies, and assisting with checking in deliveries.
- Sanitation: Maintaining the highest standards of safety and cleanliness by regularly cleaning the kitchen, utensils, and equipment.
- Team Support: Assisting with on-the-job training and helping to direct the work of other food service employees.
- Reporting: Promptly reporting any issues with equipment or food quality to the kitchen manager.
