Virtual Sales Consultants act as professional ambassadors for Discovery. The role involves supporting existing high-value clients, conducting virtual consultations, and identifying new sales opportunities across Discovery’s product range.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Achieve sales targets through proactive campaigns and initiatives
- Conduct virtual client meetings via Zoom
- Communicate with clients via phone, email, and video calls
- Complete Financial Needs Analysis assessments
- Manage your own diary, appointments, and sales pipeline
- Upsell relevant Discovery products to existing clients
- Maintain compliance with financial services regulations
- Meet quality standards and service level agreements
- Stay informed about competitor products and industry developments
- Handle client queries and provide accurate product information
This role requires a strong ability to build trust-based relationships and provide professional, reliable service.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must have:
- Matric certificate
- At least 2 years of sales experience
- Minimum 1 year knowledge in each of the following:
- Discovery Life
- Discovery Insure
- Discovery Health
- Discovery Bank
- Discovery Invest
- Essential NQF Level 5 qualification
- RE5 qualification
- COB qualification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and email
Advantageous Qualifications and Experience

- A tertiary qualification, especially in Business or Finance
- Broker consulting experience
- Strong understanding of financial planning
- Sound knowledge of investment, life, and insurance products
