Curro Somerset West is looking for a Bus Driver to join their team. This is a permanent position starting on 01 September 2025.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Valid EC1 or C1 Driver’s Licence with PDP
- Experience driving a school bus or similar (advantageous)
- Fluent in English
- Must be punctual, reliable, energetic, and responsible
- Able to work overtime when required
- Good communication skills with learners, staff, and parents
- Clear criminal record
Responsibilities:
- Transport learners safely on prescribed routes and field trips
- Maintain order and discipline on the bus
- Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and report repairs
- Ensure bus cleanliness and road safety compliance
- Provide general support with maintenance, gardening, and security duties across school facilities
- Assist with record-keeping, including mileage and passenger counts
