Orlando Pirates once again proved their pedigree in knockout football, securing a fourth straight MTN8 title with a ruthless extra-time display that crushed Stellenbosch FC 3–0 at Mbombela Stadium.
The 90 minutes were tight, tense, and balanced — neither side giving an inch. But as soon as extra time kicked off, the Buccaneers found another gear and Stellenbosch simply couldn’t live with it.
Just two minutes in, Tshepang Moremi broke the deadlock, finishing off an inch-perfect Oswin Appollis cross. The goal opened the floodgates. Moremi turned provider moments later, laying on the second for Tshegofatso Mabasa, before sealing his brace with another well-taken strike to kill off the contest.
